2017 KGLF Scholarship Recipients

We are pleased to announce that two applicants were selected to receive Ken Gillespie Legacy Fund Scholarships for 2017:  Christine Haviaris, CPA, CFP® and Phillip Watson, CFP®.  Their awards included tuition to attend the September 12th-14th session of Money Quotient’s “Fundamentals of Financial Life Planning” training course and $1000 for related travel expenses.

Chris Haviaris is the owner of  TTR Wealth based in Pearl River, NY—an independent financial planning firm built on the cornerstones of Transparency, Technology, and Relationship.  Her goal is to deliver REAL financial planning to REAL people.  With over twenty years of experience as a financial professional, she has a passion for guiding smart Gen Xers toward a better future.

She wrote, “Attending MQ’s Fundamentals training truly was a life changing experience for me, personally and professionally, and just the kind of experience I want to bring my clients.  I’ve finally found the tools, process, and supportive tribe I have been craving, and I can’t wait to get started!”

Phil Watson hales from Franklin, TN.  He was a working musician for over 20 years before changing careers and opening Watson Planning in 2001.  Phil explained that he loves delivering financial advice as a life planner, and working hard to help clients uncover or rediscover their heart-felt passions.  Then he can use those findings to help put his clients’ resources to work in a way that supports their values and priorities.

Phil wrote, “I am beginning to realize and honestly feel that Financial Life Planning practitioners are the most important professionals families and individuals can have in their lives. I want to live into and up to the responsibility that implies.”
