Date: Thursday, July 11, 2013
Time: 11:00AM-12:00PM PDT / 2:00PM-3:00PM EDT
This webinar session, presented by M.Q. Vice President, Amy Mullen, will provide details on the the First Step Cash Management System™. Learn about this simple and unique approach to cash flow, how to use the process with clients, and fees for licensing and training.
The First Step Cash Management System™ is web-based software created by The Planning Center in Moline, Illinois. First Step is available for licensing through Money Quotient and may be licensed as a stand-alone product or added to a new or existing Practice Tools Licensing Agreement.
First Step provides clients with a simple and user-friendly method for managing cash flow, reducing debt, and increasing savings. The First Step Cash Management System™ flows cash into three accounts or "buckets." Each of the three buckets holds a specific type of money and each type of money has a specific use or purpose. While the uses are all different, all three buckets are interrelated.
The First Step Cash Management System™ will help your clients to gain a better understanding of their current financial situation, be aware of the resources they have available, and make plans for the future. In addition, the system will assist them in communicating the purpose money serves in their household. This discovery process will result in a financial plan that is true to your client’s values and goals, inspires action, and creates commitment.
This free introduction webinar is open to anyone interested in learning more about this simple and unique approach to cash flow.

About the Training
Please Note: The advanced training session and the "Fundamentals of Financial Life Planning" (FFLP) training are separate events. You may participate in advanced training without attending the Bay Area "FFLP" training. However, the session is only open to M.Q. Licensees who have completed the "Fundamentals of Financial Life Planning" training course.
Immediately following the Bay Area "Fundamentals of Financial Life Planning" Training, we will host a powerful advanced training co-facilitated by Money Quotient Founder and President, Carol Anderson, M.S., and Vice President, Amy N. Mullen. This unique M.Q. Learning Opportunity is designed specifically for M.Q. Licensees who have completed our "Fundamentals of Financial Life Planning" Training and are seeking additional skills and mastery of concepts relating to a successful Financial Life Planning process.
In this two-day advanced training, we will take an in-depth look at the Money Quotient 5-E Model for Financial Life Planning. Each phase of this dynamic process—Explore, Engage, Envision, Enlighten, and Empower—plays an indispensable role in facilitating positive change in your clients' personal and financial lives.
To increase your understanding of how and why the 5-E Model works so well, we will first examine current research and thinking in these relevant areas of study: Principles of Adult Learning, Communication, Self-Determination Theory, Self-Efficacy, Positive Psychology, Visualization, and Decision Making. We will then apply this insight and knowledge in practical ways to increase your effectiveness as a Financial Life Planner.
In addition, this session will demonstrate how you can leverage the M.Q. tools, practice management resources, and client meeting templates to help your clients get in touch with their underlying motivations, and to use this awareness to create a decision making framework that will simplify their lives and empower them to achieve their personal and financial goals.
